If your Mac is constantly freezing, then there’s something wrong with it. Mine has crashed twice in three years…
All new Mac can also run Windows, so you can surely play almost any game on the desktop with a small amount of effort.
Is it worth it? That depends on how happy you are with your purchase. My Macs are well worth what I paid for them. They work well. I am more efficient working with them than I could ever hope to be on Windows and I can also run Windows, Linux on my machine when I feel like having a challenge.
I don’t see the point of Apple. Its too expensive. There are laptops like HP and Dell run windows at half the price.
And there are lot more application that are compatiable.
Not worth the money in my book.
I don’t have any apple products but from research i’d say they’re not worth it. I’ve looked at the price and specifications and apple computers are very high priced with relatively low specs. I got a laptop from Acer and it was almost half the price with much better specs. Macs are also less compatible with software than windows computers. They seem to be trendy at the moment which is probably why they get away with selling them at such a high price.
NO. A PC of less than 1000 dollars perform all computing work needed fairly well. With so many free program to choose from for Window or Linux, you have a perfect operating system.
Apple is overpriced just because of its elegant design. The tech spec ain’t that great.
Virus? Not to worry at all. So many free anti virus for you to choose – Avast, AVG, Avira are all very reliable and effective in protecting your system. If still worry about virus, use Ubuntu instead.
Apple sells Outstanding quality products!!! And even though they are very expensive, they are very well worth buying!
Who wants to deal with that piece of S*** windows crap anyways?
Mac for life !!!
Are they worth the money? As it happens, there has been research carried out since the eighties that suggest Apples are actually CHEAPER to own than windows. This is because, despite the higher purchase price, all other costs are lower: fewer repair bills, less additional software needed, and less support.
There are some people that would suggest you can buy a cheaper computer. They are absolutely right, however, an analogy with cars may be appropriate. You can buy a small Ford for much less than you can buy a Merc, BMW, or Volvo. Which one of these four brands will give you the most trouble if you thrash it from one side of the continent to the other, which car will you be least comfortable driving, and which will have the lowest re-sale value when it’s done 100,000 miles?
If you are having trouble with your Apple then you need to get in touch with Apple, or use the forums. My own experience of both Windows and Mac machines is that the Windows machines give me much, much, more trouble.
And…

While in New York, I paid a visit to a glamorous downtown computer shop in the hope of being tempted. Although I have a laptop that works perfectly well, I wanted an excuse to buy a new one, especially as computers are much cheaper in America than they are in Britain.
With my friend, Mike, a patriotic believer in the American way of commerce, I approached one of those knowledgeable and personable young salesmen that Macintosh employs to encourage customers to part with their money.
“What kind of computer do you have?” asked the salesman. “A PowerBook G4,” I replied. “A PowerBook G4?” exclaimed Mike, striking his forehead with his hand in mock horror; for he knew that I wanted to be persuaded to replace it. “That’s a good machine,” said the salesman. “How old is it?” “About five years,” I said. “Five years old!” shrieked Mike. But the salesman said: “I’d hang on to it if I were you. It should be good for a while yet.”
“Who on earth trained you to be a salesman?” asked an astonished Mike before we left the shop empty-handed; the young man just smiled. I am beginning to be worried about the future of the United States.

When you pay the apparently higher price up-front it should be considered an investment – less time wrestling with Windows problems or suspect hardware later.

While nothing is perfect, Apple users tend to be happier about their computers.

PCs are better for a gamer, or just for business. On the other hand, Macs are used for music, videos, and more of that stuff. It may also have to do with the computers being defective. So it really depends on your reason of getting the Apples to see if it’s worth it.
Look, you could have easily gotten a customized Dell XPS or Alienware laptops (both PC) for around 1,200 – 1,500. You can play just about any game (they have powerful processors and video cards) and a lot of other software is compatible with PC. I am looking at a 13.3 inch Dell XPS laptop with 2.5 GHZ dou processor (very fast), a 320 GB hardrive with 7200 RPM (also very good), an NVIDIA 9400 graphics card (on of the best out there), and 4GB RAM (about average) all for about $1,189. If I felt like it I could get a 16 inch laptop with the same specs but for $100 more. Plus my buddy got a super powerful alienware computer for half your mac, and it far exceeds the mac.
